Hats, 2024, 40 hats, 40 people, wool, knitting machine, 16hx 14lx 14b cmIn January I did a two week residency in de Fabriek in Eindhoven, an old book making factory. We went there with the fine arts classes of Den Bosch and Breda. I was looking for a project to do to connect and use the empty space. I decided to make a hats for everyone. They could keep the hats, with one condition. I would love for them to have the hat on during the exhibition hours or for it to be in the exhibition space. This meant that during the exhibition time you could find them everywhere in the space. A thing that connected people connected the space together. After the time in Eindhoven I made a hat into ceramic.
